Robert Forster

Warm Nights Orange Colour

Vinyl $45.00

Release Date: Feb 2, 2024

Discs: 2

Originally released in 1996, Warm Nights repositioned Robert’s standing as one of the great songwriters of the post-punk era. Robert recalls that producer Edwyn Collins “got the [intended] sound of the album completely: a dry low-end groove pitched somewhere between Creedence Clearwater Revival and Willie Mitchell’s early ’70s Hi Records work.”

The 2024 reissue is something of a ‘Director’s Cut’ featuring a previously unreleased ‘brass’ version of ‘Fortress’ (the original album version is included on the bonus 7”) , 'Half The Way Home’ replaces ‘Rock ’n’ Roll Friend’ (also on the bonus 7’). During the research for the reissue Needle Mythology unearthed some master tapes from the original sessions and discovered a previously unreleased song ‘Did You End Up With the One You Love?’ which is mixed by Bernard Butler and included here on the 7”.
  • The artwork for ‘Warm Nights’ has been lovingly revised by the original designer Leni Hoffman and includes new liner notes by Robert Forster.
  • Remastered at Abbey Road Studios.
  • 140gm vinyl pressed @ Vinyl Factory housed in a gatefold sleeve plus four-track 7” in custom bag.
  • Coloured vinyl limited to one copy per customer
